An Odd Story: Showing a Power to Give to Power to Be

Who says you can’t have a great time giving back to your community? Odd Fellows Columbia Lodge 2 proved it yet again at the 3rd annual IOOF Gold Tournament Fundraiser, raising $8500 to support Victoria kids through Power to Be, an organization that provides rewarding experiences for children with socio-economic limitations or physical disabilities.

On a sunny June 5th, 2015, more than 100 of the “who’s who” of Victoria’s business community and partners hit the greens at the Olympic View Golf Course for a great cause. With mind-blowing raffle prizes, including a Celtic Manor Golf getaway, a VIP NASCAR event series package and a trip for 2 to the Waste Management Phoenix Open, the sun and the fun weren’t the only things to be excited about.

“Great people, great sponsors and great host venue, all coming together to support their community and an organization that is going above and beyond to help Victoria kids. It was an amazing day. “

– Jordan Fairlie, event co-organizer and Odd Fellow
