Columbia Lodge No. 2
Established in 1870 in Victoria, BC, the Odd Fellows Columbia Lodge has a long-standing tradition of community service. With a commitment to aiding those in need, our Lodge has consistently supported key community initiatives, focusing on children, seniors, and various health charities. Over the past 150 years, nearly every charity in Victoria has benefitted from the generosity of the Odd Fellows, thanks to the dedication of our volunteers from diverse backgrounds.
About Odd Fellows
The Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF) is committed to fostering personal and societal growth through its degrees and activities, aiming to uplift individuals to a higher moral standing, extend aid to those in need, and be a positive influence for the good of humanity.
Emphasizing principles of friendship, love, truth, and justice, IOOF encourages members to contribute to making the world a better place by supporting the community, the environment, and promoting universal fraternity across all divides.
Odd Fellows lodges serve as hubs for fellowship, creative projects, and international social networking by providing members with a supportive global community that aids in travel and various endeavors, embodying the command to “visit the sick, relieve the distressed, bury the dead, and educate the orphan,” thereby enhancing the character of mankind and fostering good will and harmony.
Victoria Odd Fellows Hall
The Odd Fellows Hall at 1315 Douglas Street, crafted by architect John Teague in 1879, is a historic building in Victoria. Moving from our original locations at 1101 Wharf Street and 500-502 Fort Street, this building is a mix of street-level shops and Odd Fellows’ meeting spaces upstairs. In the 1940s, we gave the facade a makeover for safety, creating the unique look you see today. Together with the adjacent building at 1319-1329 Douglas Street, it showcases the Odd Fellows’ enduring spirit and commitment to community.
