A Record Year of Community: Our 2025 Charity Disc Golf Impact

What an incredible year. As we close the books on our 9th Annual Odd Fellows Charity Disc Golf Tournament, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for the community that rallies around this event.

At our October business meeting, we were honoured to present cheques to Tania Stearns-Smith and Elizabeth Newcombe, the incredible leaders from the Vancouver Island Crisis Society and Mary’s Farm. Hearing them speak so passionately about their work was a powerful reminder of why we do this. These are not just funds; they are vital resources that go directly toward saving and improving lives right here in our community. 

Steady Growth

This year, our community came together to raise a record-breaking $45,965.85 for the Vancouver Island Crisis Society and another $10,000 for our amazing friends at Mary’s Farm!

This achievement is part of a beautiful story of steady, passionate growth. In 2017, our first event raised $3,819. Today, our cumulative impact since 2017 totals $219,047.07 for the Crisis Line and over $46,000 for Mary’s Farm.

This event is a testament to the fact that it truly “takes a village.” None of this would be possible without the dedicated and generous community that comes together every year.
